There was a consistent problem arising with late comers and early leavers
Less than 50% of members supported the Annual Dance.
It was confirmed by R.I.B.I that the landward area for East Kilbride was in fact the Parish of East Kilbride only.
Financial statement for January 1974 stated that the Benevolent fund stood £429.22 Current Account balance was £208.04.
A warning bell would be introduced to summon members to the luncheon table.

Standard of meals at the Queensway Hotel was causing concern.
Christmas cards sent to 40 widows who attended this years outing.
Charge for lunch as from the 6th April would be 72p.
This years President Alfred Matthews was a Quantity Surveyor.
1971 Membership started with 41, Gained 7, lost 9, ended year with 39. Theme for the year “ Good begins with you.”
Visits to Glasgow North, Strathaven, Eastwood and Cumnock were made.
Ranfurly Library and Wingate School projects were the two areas that the Club were involved with internationally.
It was agreed that membership should be balanced in the following way, Professional, Industrial and Shopkeepers each as near as possible an equal percentage.
Cumnock outing was held on the 4th June. District Council gave £150 grant.
Dispute with hotel to be taken up because of increase in meal price from 50 pence to 90 pence Alf Matthews, Dan Wright and David Mackay to speak to hotel.

1970 Membership started with 42, gained 3, lost 4, ending year with 41. Theme for the Year “ Bridge the Gaps.” Presidency for the Year was in the capable hands of Gordon McNay the towns Chief Executive.
Inaugural & First President of East Kilbride Rotary Club Rotarian Norman Tait died after having served Rotary and the club for 5 years & 9 months April 1965- January 1971.

Widows & Orphans outing held again this year.
